Skills Upgrading Program

Skills Upgrading Program Logo
The Skills Upgrading Program is designed to help you build your skills in reading, writing, to move on to: employment, high school credits, apprenticeship programs, or post secondary education such as college programs. We also assist learners with independence goals of learning basic computers or furthering their essential skills for work.

We run from the beginning of September until the end of June with day and evening class times available in most of our locations. We have flexible schedules to meet your needs and goals.

group of peopleThis Employment Ontario program is funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario and through the Canada-Ontario Job Fund Agreement. It is a FREE program for all learners.



Learners must be 19 years of age. If English is a second language, learners must have a Canadian Language Benchmark of 6 in speaking and listening to attend the program.


The program is FREE. There is no cost for the students in this program. The funding is provided by Employment Ontario through the government of Ontario. For those who are eligible, we can assist with the costs of transportation and daycare.


We have classes available in Guelph, Fergus , Drayton, Palmerston, Mount Forest, Shelburne, Orangeville?and Dundalk.
