Commitment to Equity
The Upper Grand District School Board is committed to ensuring that our policies, practices and systems are free of barriers, emphasize the value of diversity, and promote equity and inclusion for all.
Through our processes and practices, we are working to eliminate barriers to employment for people who are often underrepresented in Canada’s workforce, including but not limited to, First Nation, Metis, Inuit people, people with disabilities, racialized persons, and women.
Consistent with human rights legislation, employment equity recognizes the value and dignity of each individual and ensures everyone has genuine, open and unhindered access to employment opportunities, free from any barriers, systemic or otherwise. The Upper Grand District School Board is committed to ensuring dignity, respect and equal access for all employees.
Accommodations are available during all phases of the recruitment process. Applicants need to make their needs known in advance to the Manager of Wellness and Employee Health.
The UGDSB has a need for French language teachers. The Board’s French Immersion Program is growing quickly, and the UGDSB is frequently in need of qualified French teachers, for both contract and LTO positions. French positions are always posted on Apply to Education.
